My name is Erwin,
Product designer, UX researcher and UI | UX designer & strategist, full stack web developer…, you can call me whatever you want, however I'm just a problem solver who cares about crafting products and experiences that are useful, useable, and beautiful.
Growing up, I had a lot of passion for aviation. Not so much for becoming a pilot but rather developing to be both a technical designer and an engineer who can build such a thing as an airplane.
As an industrial designer graduated, I worked in different countries and several regions all around the world; mostly as a researcher and urban furniture designer but also one who specializes in the field of public restrooms. This area of expertise was quite an interest because I had to continuously perform ethnographic research, and repeatedly re-design and build variations to the same products based on the different cultures and budgets of our clients.
As a new market trend emerged, I switched interests into digital product design. I started working on responsive, and native applications, and software as a UX researcher and designer. As a trained product designer, I believe that a good designer is one who is partially-engineer and partially-artist. To improve my knowledge of digital products, I’ve been recently learning towards becoming a full-stack software engineer and learn how to code, as I move to the USA and in preparation to joining the workforce.
And yes, now I‘m a unicorn UX researcher and designer who can write both front-end and back-end code, as a web developer. Besides, I’m a motivated and enthusiastic learner, passionate about ever-changing technology, science & art; someone who believes that we are alive so long we are evolving. Should the evolution stop, we vanish like a sea wave.
When I’m not designing or coding, I love to meet new people for a coffee chat. I also like to play Chess & Ping-Pong!
